NEW COMPENSATION FUND
- If you have at least one or more employees, part-time or casual workers, you must register with the Compensation Fund.
COID PACKAGE
- This package includes new registration, first return of earnings (ROE) submission and letter of good standing (LOGs).
RETURN OF EARNINGS (ROE) & LETTER OF GOOD STANDING (LOGS)
- Return of Earnings are submitted annually in April. The Letter of Good Standing verifies that your business/company has complied with all the Compensation Commissioner rules for having employees.
LETTER OF GOOD STANDING FOR TENDER PURPOSES
- If you don’t have employees, but you want to apply for tender, you need the Tender Letter. You will only apply for the Letter of Good Standing once you have employees.
STATEMENT AND CHRONOLOGY
- You have paid your notice of assessment but still cannot obtain your Letter of Good Standing. You might have an outstanding balance. We can obtain the record of your statement and chronology for you.
CONVERT A SOLE PROPRIETOR TO A PRIVATE COMPANY
- If you're currently registered as a sole proprietor with the Compensation Fund but want to switch to a private company, you must convert your profile accordingly. Avoid registering twice; your Compensation Fund registration number remains unchanged.
INSTALMENT PLAN ARRANGEMENT
- The amount on the Notice of Assessment is too steep to pay at once, we can arrange for an instalment and your Letter of Good Standing will be renewed monthly until you settle your balance.
DUPLICATE NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT
- It is possible to get a duplicate of your Notice of Assessment.
PAYMENT ALLOCATION
- Your payment is not allocated because of incorrect reference or no reference
AMENDMENT TO THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT
- An error was made as you were submitting your Return on Earnings.
DISCREPANCY AUDIT (FAILED ROE)
- Your assessment is flagged for pending audit after submitting your Return of Earnings. This means there was a difference of more than 29% between your provisional earnings and your actual earnings. Therefore, you will automatically be selected for a discrepancy audit. The commissioner needs to confirm why there is a difference of more than 29% between your provisional and actual earnings.
REGISTRATION RENEWAL
- You finally have employees or casual workers.
TRADING NAME CHANGE
- The name needs to be changed with the Compensation Fund to reflect on your current Letter of Good Standing.
OBTAIN EXISTING REGISTRATION NUMBER
- You somehow lost or forgot your CF Registration number; it can be retrieved.
RECLASSIFICATION (CHANGE NATURE OF BUSINESS)
- Changes to your company activities be updated with the Compensation Fund, as your contribution depends on the nature of your business.
DEREGISTER (CEASE TO TRADE/NO EMPLOYEES)
- Deregister as soon as your company ceases trading, to avoid penalties for not submitting the Return on Earnings.
UPDATE CONTACT DETAILS
- The employer should verify that their registered address, contact numbers, and email address for correspondence are current with the Compensation Fund. We're available to help with this.
DOMESTIC EMPLOYER REGISTRATION
- You have a domestic worker; from 01 March 2021 you are required by law to register your domestic workers.
